An unfortunate gas station owner in Kansas accidentally sold gas at 19 cents a gallon.
He lost a couple of thousand dollars due to computer glitch that let customers buy the underpriced gas with a credit card while the station was closed overnight. He turned down a local church’s offer to cover his losses, and instead came up with the idea of “gasoline happy hour” during which gas will be 66 cents a gallon for one hour a week.
