You may want to let prospects set the quantity on some of the line items you are proposing. For example, they may not know how many seats of software they want, or how many hours of consulting they need (or can afford). They may just want to look at different options. This is especially powerful if you are letting prospects request proposals automatically, online.
To let prospects edit the quantity of a line item, check the box, as circled below.
When prospects view the proposal, they will see the quantity you have set, but can enter their own quantity. If volume discount rules apply, the final price will reflect the appropriate discounted price.
Prospects cannot set the quantity to negative or nonnumeric values.
